POSITION SUMMARY:  
HHC is looking for an energetic civil engineer to help coordinate and manage projects for the Summerlin Engineering Support Services TEAM in developing infrastructure, including all utilities and roadways to developer parcels in the Summerlin master Planned Community, Las Vegas, NV. Work efforts include
 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Coordination of consulting engineers work efforts to deliver cost efficient infrastructure to proposed parcels that are being developed or sold on schedule and within budget.
  • Review engineering consultant’s improvement design for design efficiency and clarity.
  • Assist in preparing bid schedule for improvement design infrastructure bidding by THHC
  • Coordinate and work with THHC Planning to understand landscaping and entry feature requirements to avoid conflicts with both roadway and dry utility structure conflicts.
  • Assist in working with consultants and agencies in resolving design issues and requirements to obtain cost effective and timely approval for construction
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates to establish project budgets and cash flow requirements
  • Become knowledgeable of project schedules and meeting deadlines
  • Participate and be proactive in recommending design alternates or solutions to potential conflicts or value engineering
  • Be familiar with agency review processing times ad requirements
  • Assist in organizing and filing Project files
  • Assist in processing project fees and documents to obtain approvals
  • Capable of being proactive in resolving construction or design conflicts in a timely manner
 
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in related land development design
  • Minimum BS Civil Engineering degree from certified Engineering school
  • Preferred registered Civil engineer in State of Nevada, or have the ability to become registered within 1 year after hire date
  • Knowledgeable with Excel and Word documentation
