Retail Merchandise Coordinator contributes to our success by inspiring engagement and being a helpful partner on creating memorable experiences for our customers.  This role supports the Retail Operations Manager in achievement of goals and department operations. 
  • Create an environment where employees are informed, curious and happy to show off a great product by participating in training for all employees.
  • Set sales direction for the day by creating daily agendas.
  • Direct employees to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentations, and ensure selling floor is adequately stocked per visual standards.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to employees and communicate performance issues directly to the Retail Operations Manager.
  • Assist with daily reconciliations, deposits and cash handling.
  • Assist with online store development and ongoing maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in retail operations and merchandising and/or previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Pursuing a degree, or received a degree, in Business or Retail (preferred).
  • Experience with Retail Pro Software (preferred).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • A desire to work hard and have a strong understanding of customer service.
  • Must possess high level of self-confidence, with the ability to aggressively sell assigned items.
  • Engaging personality with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage time well.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening and ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
